Account Information
We use Clerk for authentication. When you create an account, Clerk collects your name, email address, and authentication credentials. We receive your profile information from Clerk to manage your account.
Parcel and Location Data
When you use our service, we collect the geographic coordinates and parcel identifiers you search for. This includes map interactions, clicked locations, and parcels you analyze.
Payment Information
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or full payment details on our servers. Stripe handles payment data in accordance with PCI-DSS standards. We retain transaction records including the amount, date, and associated report.
Usage Data
We automatically collect information about how you interact with our service, including pages visited, features used, browser type, device information, and IP address.
How We Use Your Information
- To perform spatial analyses on parcels you select (flood zones, wetlands, slope, soils, road access, zoning)
- To generate AI-powered buildability reports using OpenAI
- To process payments and deliver purchased reports
- To cache analysis results for faster subsequent lookups
- To improve and maintain our service
- To communicate with you about your account or service updates
Third-Party Services
We share data with the following third-party services as necessary to provide our product:
Clerk — Authentication and user management
Stripe — Payment processing
OpenAI — AI report generation. Parcel data and spatial analysis results are sent to OpenAI to generate buildability reports. OpenAI's data usage policies apply.
Mapbox — Map rendering and geocoding
Government Spatial APIs — We query public federal and state data sources (FEMA, USGS, NRCS, etc.) using parcel coordinates to retrieve flood, wetland, slope, soil, and other spatial data.
Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Cached parcel analyses and reports are retained to provide ongoing access to your purchased reports. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. Upon deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Cookies and Tracking
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management through Clerk. We may use analytics tools to understand usage patterns. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings.
Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication via Clerk, and PCI-compliant payment processing via Stripe. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.
